How do I reserve a tour and do I need a reservation? |

We accept walkups when room is available but advance reservations are HIGHLY recommended. Call us directly at 813-600-7048 to reserve a tour. |

Can I make reservations at the Beachview Inn? |

Yes, you can also book a tour here. Or, if the hotel you are staying at has a concierge they can also contact us and book the tour for you. All local hotel concierges have our contact information. |

What is a Segway and how does it work? |
| A. |
The Segway PT (Personal Transporter) is the first of its kind - a self-balancing, personal transportation device designed to go anywhere people do. Easy to use and operate, the two-wheeled Segway PT sports 5 high-tech gyroscopes that monitor your balance 100 times a second and automatically respond to your body's movements. To move forward, the rider simply leans forward. To stop or move backwards, the rider leans back slightly. A LeanSteer® handlebar column allows turning of the Segway. It has a top speed of 12.5 miles per hour (20 kilometers per hour). It is battery powered, electronically balanced, with a zero turning radius and no emissions. Not only is it smart and effective transportation, it is more fun than you can imagine! |

How do I learn to ride a Segway PT? |

All first time customers are required to take a 20 - 25 minute on board training session to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience. Riders are trained on safe Segway operation, and the 'rules of the road' policy. |

What are the tour requirements? |
| A. |
Must be at least 12 years old.
Weigh between 95-260lbs.
Sign a waiver (under 18 – a waiver must be signed by accompanying parent or guardian).
Satisfactorily complete the Segway Training with an instructor.
Show understanding and willingness to comply with your tour guides and follow our policy of courtesy to fellow pedestrians.
Participants must wear a helmet (provided).
Please note: Tour participants must have the ability to be able to stand for the period of time the tour will last, with short breaks en route, and be able to step on and off the Segway without assistance, which requires physical abilities similar to climbing and descending stairs without assistance or use of a handrail. Some physical and mobility issues (and mobility diseases) preclude riding safely. You may call to discuss. |

What should I wear? |

Dress appropriately for the weather. Closed toed shoes, rather than sandals or flip flops are recommended, but not required. In summer, sunscreen is also a good idea. |

What if it rains? |

We will be happy to reschedule your tour or refund your money in the event of bad weather. |

|
Pregnant? |
| A. |
Congratulations! However, safety on the Segway is our #1 concern and for obvious reasons, women who are pregnant are NOT permitted to glide. |

Alcohol or Drugs? |
| A. |
The Segway Adventure will refuse any rider we suspect is under the influence of alcohol or drugs. |

Cancellations/Refunds and No Show Policy? |

We will refund your payment in full if you contact us by phone at 813.600.7048 at least 48 hours prior to your reserved tour departure time. All cancellations must be made by phone. Reservations may not be cancelled by E-mail. Reservations may not be cancelled less than 48 hours prior to your reserved tour departure time without charge. All No Shows will be charged in full. |

What about parking? |

You will have to pay anywhere you park on Clearwater Beach. Our hotel location offers one of the best rates on the beach and is the most convenient. The hotel will charge just for the tour time or pay a little extra and park there all day. Rates vary according to season. Be sure and get your parking pass upon arrival. Access the parking lot on Coronado Ave. (entrance side of the hotel). |

Do you rent Segways individually? |

Segway rentals are not part of our service due to a matter of safety concerns. All our tours require a guide. |
